Guide to Seaport Village

Seaport Village is a waterfront shopping and dining complex near the San Diego Bay in Downtown San Diego. It has a spectacular waterfront setting and over 60 unique shops, including restaurants and cafes, galleries, studios, and boutiques, to keep you fascinated and engaged.

In this San Diego travel guide, we provide a list of the best things to do in Seaport Village.

Stroll Around the Waterfront

Take a leisurely stroll around the 14-acre property and soak up the scene. You can stop and watch Navy ships or boaters right at the Bay. Better still,  head to the observation deck at The Lighthouse for some of the best panoramas in town.

Pleasure Your Art-Loving Soul

Take a ride on the hand-carved Historic Carousel for $4 a ride. Walk into Studio by the Bay to practice or learn some art activities from professional artists. You can also attend an art exhibition or workshop, take an art class, or watch a performance at Christopher Harvey Art Gallery.

Step into the Oslo Sardine Bar to enjoy some mouthwatering canned fish, chat with the proprietor Max Robert Daily, a San Diego artist and purveyor of canned fish, and watch an experiential art performance.

Before leaving Seaport Village, stop by Funny Features Caricature to capture all the fun you’ve had in a drawing by Björn, a celebrity caricature artist who has been drawing caricatures at events all around Southern California for close to 25 years.

Grab a Bite to Eat

With over 30 restaurants and cafes, Seaport Village has plenty of options when it comes to food.
