Places to see Nearby Radisson Hotel

Metal Museum

One of the most unique Memphis attractions is the 3.2-acre Metal Museum, which has a blacksmith shop and foundry, a permanent collection, a sculpture park, and changing exhibits. The Metal Museum is a pioneer in celebrating, acknowledging, and developing the discipline of exquisite metalwork. It is the only institution of its kind in North America and one of the few in the world devoted entirely to metalwork.

Belz Museum of Asian and Judaic Art

The most remarkable and extensive collection of Chinese art in the southern part of the United States is found at the Belz Museum of Asian and Judaic Art. Outstanding works of art, many of which were produced during the Qing Era (1644–1911), which are symbolic of an antiquated civilization with rich artistic traditions, serve as representations of China within the museum.

Most of the items on show were formerly part of local businessman Jack A. Belz and his wife Marilyn’s private collection. They gave those items to the organization that maintains the museum. The Belz Museum contains five galleries for ongoing exhibits: three for Asian exhibits, one for Jewish displays, and one for the Holocaust Memorial Gallery. Semi-annually, special exhibitions are brought in.
