To buy medicinal cannabis, you must be 18 years of age or older and have either a current physician’s recommendation, a valid county-issued medical cannabis identification card, or be a Primary Caregiver as defined in Health and Safety Code Section 11362.7(d).

When purchasing cannabis or related products, individuals must pay the required taxes as follows:

• 15% excise tax charged by the State of California;
• 9.25% local sales tax for the City of Seaside;
• 6% for Medical Cannabis Patients who have a valid doctor’s recommendation;
• 8% for Adult-Use Cannabis with a valid government-issued ID;
